Besides from completely fucking up my day because I locked myself out, the first day of getting into shape went quite well. made an awesome cucumber-pineapple-mango smoothie, a combination i’d never thought about before, and then beasted it in the gym next to bulky spaniards. then I went to a military store and placed an order for three SS uniform belts and a black uniform jacket. I’m not a nazi. I’m making a movie.
Now, off to eat sum sweet lemongrass chicken.
Accompanying is a photo of Chris Sharma for the sake of inspiration and beauty.
So, smoothie:
1 small cucumber
1/2 ananas (it’s pineapple in icelandic. it’s just a better word. especially if you use it in the same sentence as banana)
1/2 mango
Juicy of 1/2 lemon
a bunch of water
a fistful of cashews
two fistfuls of spinach
Then I put a tablet Chlorella, for some easy protein.
This is seriously good. Love it.

p cause it’s paleo.
A big Troy and Abed in the morning-cup of water, frozen salad, half an apple sliced down and one leftover egg muffing from yesterday.
Salad is frozen because my fridge is crazy and sometimes becomes a fridge. Frozen salad is delicious btw. Felt like I was eating salad flavored ice cream. not really. but i wish.

Decided to give these chicken-egg-muffins a second chance - this time with ground turkey meat. Why? Because it was on sale. 2 Euros for a pack. Nice.
This is the first time I use a gas oven. We don’t have those in Iceland. So I preheated it to some heat. Cooked the turkey in a skillet until it wasn’t pink anymore, then sliced some sweet potato into thumb-sized bites. When the meat was done, put I put it on a plate and put the sweet potatoes on to the skillet, using the fat from the meat to cook it in. When done, I put the sweet potato slices into my brand new silicon muffin tins (THEY’RE ORANGE AND PURPLE YAY), then some meat and them some more potatoes.
Then I broke an egg into each tin and crushed the yolk in the purple ones. Nervously placed them in the oven and took them out after about 15 minutes. Eating now. So good.

you know the feeling when you’ve been eating strictly paleo for a few days?
yesterday’s breakfast was a delicious cinnamon-apple-omelet. Except I accidentally bought cinnamon sticks instead of ground cinnamon. And I cut the apples too big so they didn’t blend with the omelet. So it was an omelet with sliced apples on top and a few big chunks of hard cinnamon. Could have been a lot more delicious.
Today is gonna be my big fat cooking day! :D I’m gonna make an egg salad for breakfast, and then I’m making egg muffins and spaghetti to store in the freezer. Presumably while I listen to Diogal or watch 30 rock or HIMYM (Season 8, E01 came yesterday wayhay!) If the mood is right, I might even put on Stephen Fry reading Harry Potter. Yes, the day is that good.

So breakfast!
2 hard boiled eggs
A little paleo mayo if you have it, if the eggs are freshly boiled then I don’t think you need it
a small can of tuna
1/4 onion chooped
a bit of bell pepper
shredded salad
chives, if you have chives. I don’t. miss them a pit.
black pepper or lemon pepper to season and yum.
17 km trekking in the spanish mountains north of Madrid. quite great.

paleo sick food?
So I’ve been very sick for the past three days, probably because I just got to Madrid and I’m getting used to their food and water and stuff. Like vomiting sick. When I was a kid (and up until a few months ago) I would drink coke and eat pretzels when I was sick, because that’s what the icelandic doctors recommend (or maybe just my dad, idk).
Does anyone have a good idea for a replacement to that? Something that wont go back up?
Yours in elegance,
Poor sick paleo student
Lunch:
Took the rests of a sweet potato, fennel, pimiento, zucchini and a carrot and sliced them into spaghetti-like strips. Boiled the sweet potato. Put a little bit of olive oil and some water into a saucepan and roasted it until soft. Mushed the boiled sweet potato (it was only about 3 cm) together with a tomato, a spice called Pimienton (?) and some more water and added to the spaghetti veggies. Scrambled two eggs and at last added a small can of tuna.
Turned out to be surprisingly amazing.
Finally, I’m in Spain.
Went to market, bought some veggies. Got very sick from the water here. Or the tequila.
Anyway, haven’t figured out how the oven works, so I boiled a sweet potato and a carrot and then at the last minute, fried them a bit in a dry pan to harden them up. It was actually delicious.
